Were you looking for The Liverpool

Blue Coat School?

WELCOME TO MY WEBSITE!

I grew up in Woolton, Liverpool, and attended Woolton County Primary School from 1964 until 1971 when I moved to the Liverpool Blue Coat School. I left in 1977 and have spent all but a few months of my working life in the Passenger Transport industry. In 1989 I left Liverpool and now live in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire.

This is my personal website, on which I voice my personal opinions. It has NO OFFICIAL CONNECTION with the Liverpool Blue Coat School, or any of the other organisations that feature in it. I hope you enjoy browsing through it. Please feel free to contact me.

BUY THE DAILY EXPRESS on Tuesday 7th September!

Don't ask why - just buy it!

WE'VE BEEN TO THE BRITISH TRANSPLANT GAMES!

OUR OTHER WEBSITES

(Click these buttons)

The British Transplant Games are held each year in a different part of the United Kingdom. Last year Bethany went to Coventry as a spectator - it was too soon after her liver transplant to compete. This year we spent four days in Bath and Bethany took part in the long jump (achieving 99 cm with no run-up allowed!), the obstacle race, the ball throw and the 50 metre dash, in which she got a place in the final. No medals this year, but great fun. We met up with several other children who we knew from our time in hospital - all taking part and full of energy! There were competitors in other events from all ages, even some over-70s!

Never one to miss an opportunity, Bethany featured in a local TV programme and posed with our friend from "Live Life Then Give Life", Holly Shaw.

WE MET MICHAEL CRAWFORD!

My daughters Bethany and Eloise are pictured

with Michael Crawford OBE (yes- him from

Phantom of the Opera and "Some Mothers

do 'ave 'em") at the opening ceremony of

the new Sick Children's Trust Eckersley House

building at Leeds General Infirmary. Michael

is a patron of the charity. We were there to

present a cheque...

My annual event to raise funds for

The Sick Children's Trust took place on the

hottest day of the year, so far, Sunday 23rd

May. Over 80 bus enthusiasts from all over

England visited the five Arriva-Yorkshire

depots. I drove the Arriva bus, followed by

four buses dating from 1948, 1950, 1986 and

1952. A total of £722.72 was raised.

We were also featured on BBC Look North; click HERE to watch it on YouTube.
