John Cartwright lived on the Wirral until the early 1980s when he moved down south. Now living in Essex, he very kindly sent me these twenty photographs, taken at various Merseyside Transport garages. These pictures have never been seen before, and are in an automated slide show, changing every six seconds. To keep the captions visible, hold your mouse in the green circle (bottom right corner, arrowed).

PLEASE NOTE: All these photographs are COPYRIGHT JOHN CARTWRIGHT 2009 and must not be downloaded or reproduced.

INTERESTING POINTS:

Slide 3: 201 (FHF 451) is now preserved, in its original Wallasey "sea green" livery.
Slide 7: 1326 (DKC 326L) was later transferred to Green Lane, where I drove it in service on many occasions.
Slide 20: There is one dark green bus in there. It will be 2102, the last bus to wear LCPT green livery.
Slides 23 to 38 were taken at the Big Bus Show, on 29th September 1979 at Edge Lane Works.
